Boggarts are the protective spirits of specific locations, such as rivers, hills, or coastal areas. Whereas domestic boggarts sour milk and steal bedsheets, wild boggarts have been known to abduct children and drown strangers. They are are related to Irish púca.

In our current chapter, we're exploring Irish mythology and beyond via words like púca—for the mischief-making shape-shifter—and ríastrad, or “warp spasms," as experienced by the mighty Cúchulainn in battle.

If anyone is wondering what a Phooka is, they're a fae that exists in Celtic folklore. Phooka is a word that can be spelled in a few different ways: Pooka, Phouka or Púca. The spelling and similar design I used were based on a beloved book series called The Spiderwick Cronicles.

Also the horse is what Blitzø might see but then again he draws her brown and not black

This is Seed, based on the trickster shapeshifter Púca from Irish myth. He is a dirt boy who loves to get into trouble.
Really loved learning a bit more about these guys makes me want to make a whole cast of faeries!

Uncle Caradoc, “The Beloved.” He was well admired. Tales say that he might have been part púca, but he looks more part elf to me. There’s older fair-folk around here who still remember him. They say he had a venerated presence that gave way to a gentle disposition and kind heart.

This is Caoimhín! He's a lazy goat-themed púca who low-key likes causing trouble, but more just by being verbally annoying and semi-unhelpful.
