French's Mustard is a classic brand with a classic pennant logo. Less classic: "Hot Dan The Mustard Man", their strange mascot from the 1920s through 1940s.

Old design for a Stan Musial pennant and banner a company asked me to do, but the project got dumped when their "art director" felt threatened. Forgot about it, but I still think it looks cool #baseball #baseballart #baseballhistory #stanmusial #stantheman #stlouiscardinals

This is from 'Indian zoology' by Thomas Pennant (1790), which is not in our collection but I had reason to look it up on @BioDivLibrary and very much enjoyed flicking through the plates (including a v grumpy owl):

something i noticed (or perhaps made up 😳) while looking at bloodborne armor sets fr design trends. almost all sets hv some kinda middle-back drapery element (esp th healing church where th pennants denote church rank), except the crow set which is inverted (church=heretical!)

Knight's Beach Banner looks like a replica of the Feendrache Pennant; but more importantly, the banner was hand embroidered by Vane himself.
With this in mind, there's a scene where Vane saves the company flag and essentially the soul of the Order.
