Well, the jokes on me.
A couple of weeks ago I was complaining about the ST:TOS shuttlecraft, saying it was basically a hollow box.
Somebody pointed out the engines were strapped on the side.
Turns out the CIRA/AAS EAGLE is exactly the same.
Why? Common Pressurized Structure.

I made a Battle Galleons inspired character! Her name is Briony and she talks like a pirate for fun, owns a sword she doesn't know how to use, and her fav Pokemon is Blastoise. Her canon weapon shoots extremely pressurized streams of water that can knock a full grown adult over!

This here is Aquidnee. It is the natural enemy to Flaraga. As you can see it's spider but also has the ability of a Water Strider to move freely on the water's surface. Aquidnee is capable of spewing highly pressurized water as well has a very strong webbing.

The Lerk is a form of the Kharaa hive strain thats developed for flight and ranged combat. Pneumatic veins pump pressurized air into it's modified upper mandibles which act as gun barrels, loaded with an ammunition of teeth.
