X-Men Fashion series: Kwannon!

Long time followers know I have a very soft spot for Kwannon/Psylocke.

When my first inclination was to dress her in something dark, and assassin-like, I pushed back at that and tried to imagine a moment where she’s afforded a chance to be soft.

I used as my model for her face. As she is of British and Japanese descent, while Psylocke is a Brit woman in a Japanese woman's body. I think she fits the attitude of the character quite well.

Day 12: KRAKOAN week continues with KWANNON! An assassin who swapped bodies with the X-Man Psylocke. Kwannon died, got better, got her body back and now goes by Psylocke. Marvel FINALLY listened and got the white girl out the Asian body.

Fallen Angels was one of the worst X-Books since the ResurrXion. Everyone working on it has done so much better.

It doesn't matter that Kwannon flavored Psylocke uses the Butterfly motif instead of Betsy flavored Psylocke.

It's not secretly deep. It just looks neat.

Some sexy Marvel ladies. I was experimenting with exaggerated anatomy inspired by Eric Canete on the Mystique and first Psylocke. The other Psylocke sketches are from a year later and are close to cosplay photo refs. The Spider-Woman is a bad attempt to rip off Alex Maleev.
