@melmeotta I've been making my own Pokemon region based on West Virginia, Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay area. The plan is to run it as a Pokemon Tabletop United game with homebrewing of gen 9 mons and items. Here's art I've made for it so far and an unreadable screenshot of the wip map
@KGalaxysFruity theres a ridiculous amount of prep work that goes into it, i think you always get the best results by tracing for proportions or similar features (bump´s claws) for the initial sketch -> clean up the sketch -> lineart, also SIMPLIFICATION makes it more readable.

Really struggled with patterning here in a vain attempt to make it not too unreadable, since the character is a Goliath, meaing natural markings, and then tattoos, and then a mass of scar. Three patterns layered on top of each other😔
