Lunchtime scans - unedited on left, attempted paper texture reduction on right.

I learned One Weird Trick to remove the paper texture - scan the image a second time rotated by 180°, and then align the scans. This causes the shadows from the scanning to cancel each other out!

I love these illustrations with their pets, it's always so nice to see them with their owners. The artworks are also digitized, and aren't crap scans.

I went back to the comics and to Pogo! Walt Kelly was so good at what he did. Also, it's hard to figure out colors from 60 year old newspaper scans.
