Today was anatomy practice day. Instead of doing a longer study, I've limited myself to ~1 hour per sculpt, to see where I'd get in that time. 4 sculpts, with some meltdowns about taxes in between.
Still using Scott Eaton's Bodies In Motion for reference.
Seeing them side by side & the CQL figure really is just an inferior replica of the Goodsmile one I’m sorry 😭
The sculpt, the face, even the coloring is off. Yet somehow it costs 100 dollars more than the Goodsmile ver, and the Goodsmile one’s far from cheap 🙃

@NasoVini Just tried Midjourney and it is incredible for getting quick ideas for reference 🤯 but my usual workflow is the opposite of what you illustrate here!
I sometimes start with a simple 3D sculpt, then run that through a GAN, paint over and repeat as many times as necessary… 😬
Blender Sculpt tools also cannot be underestimated. Maybe after Nomad Sculpt, we can add more details. Thinking which part will be leather, metal, glass, rubber, maybe organic slime…
At the same time, also it will need Procreate “repainting” layers.
