Out of all series I read, Chainsawman is the one where I belive most that yesterday's enemies can become today's allies or vice versa. A change of heart isn't even needed lol, just a new mutual threat/goal. It's a fun idea to always keep in mind..

Sometimes I really can't tell but she seems to have genuine conviction here, and while kinda presenting herself as necessary evil.
I wonder why she feels she is necessary.. What is she protecting us from. Likely yet unknown devil threats..

My god. She is something else.. Depending on execution, these types of scenes can hit as hard or harder than fight scenes for me. 🙌🏽

Kishibe automatically gained my loyalty after this conversation & chapter. Truely felt like the first time someone had a conversation with her so far and didn't crack.. 👏🏽

Just imagine how different things could've been if..
Though I doubt the Future Devil would've been any actual help, since it wanted to enjoy watching Aki perish..

Her comeback was so perfect. Dialogue been so good when it comes to Makima. Likely as Fujimoto is trying to purposefully have her feel as minimal & efficient as possible while also having the most impact..

She says after literally just using him as a human shield lmaoo. 😂

I see the potential for her to become a key player later on.. Once she gets her mind right. She really just got rid of their attackers + Katana Man solo.. For now, it's too bad she only activated after/due to her partner getting taken out. 💀

He's just like me. Harsh or not, I'd always rather just get the truth.. 👌🏽

Bro really ended the first 2/3 mini arcs realising he didn't give af about anyone. 😂 💀 Which is ironically more realistic than the generic case where we'd already feel a familial etc bond forming..

4 33

When you lie your way through the job interview.. Her expression is so funny sometimes. Fujimoto definitely wanted her to unnerve everyone. But still, she just blends into the cast fine too as everyone in this series has their own strange quirks..

I don't know who's idea it was to play with the coloring of the blood splatters but it looks great. Fittingly adds to the style & wackiness imo. Likely inspired by the color pages where Fujimoto has been doing similar with devil blood/parts.. 👌🏽

So she's able to offer a life for a life & somewhat influence the action.. But my question becomes: how does she satisfy her condition of consent. Because without concent it's literally just 2 linked deaths. Which feels too broken/unbalanced..

Hoping the anime captured every bit of the dread I felt for them in this moment.. What a page turn experience. 😨 🙌🏽
Fujimoto set this during day time but I imagined the blacked out door window may mean her reveal lined up with like a tunnel exit..

Can't escape it. I'm a massive meathead at heart. These 'touch gloves' chapter endings always get me going. 🙌🏽 🔥
Tempted to switch over to the anime for this fight right now but I'll wait till I'm done reading.

It's interesting that she can make this sort of exchange while barely alive. Leads me to believe 'all of me' also includes her soul.. Something which may set up some sort of future return or unique interaction our side can take advantage of..

Used to be so refreshing reading this series along with Jujutsu Kaisen. I need to catch up during this almost 2 week break.
It's cool seeing Fujimoto aim for relative depth & intricacy but lean more to 'show' rather than 'tell' in his execution. 👌🏽

So satisfying seeing her finally cut the BS when things get serious. 😅 Though I think it's partly since she's beginning to care for them, I mostly think it's still self preservation + a preference for the comfort of the life she's currently living.
