I mostly agree. Sonic's overall character design is hard to make scary in the way EXE artists attempt to, But there are some standouts such as No More Innocence, and that's mainly from how it drastically deviates from the design it's based on.

One of Amy's better aspects has always been how she selflessly cares more about Sonic's well being and happiness, even if it means renouncing her own.

Sonic X's 9th episode is a good example of this, as it's used to show how both characters care for each other.
