From insomnia. Léon Spilliaert was a Belgian artist (1881-1946) and insomniac - but his moonlit strolls allowed him to create calming & contemplative art. As one critic said,"(at night) undisturbed by normal life his mind becomes very clear and his thoughts are purer."
