Petrazoa, Cave Dweller Pokémon
It clings to cave ceilings, acting as a stalactite. When its favorite prey, bat Pokémon, wander underneath, it drops straight down to impale them with its spines.

@ferafel_ This is Hazel, it's hard to put into words why hedgehog fits XD one thing with her is I wanted her spines to be more fluffike, kind of like plush/felted hedgehogs have fabric instead of spines. Then I scattered my fave flower, fave snack and drawing supplies~
Decided to give drawing Sonic another go, this one I needed a little more ref to get the spines right (still dunno how to shade lol)

It belongs to my “Anatomy of a Soul” collection where I explore the connections between some of the most important parts of our body and soul

@ARGAtheropodfan This looks awesome! With those spines along its back, the rex in your piece reminds me a bit of the take on Skull Island Meat-Eater from Joe DeVito's Kong books.
@KGamer1569 The neural spines on the tail - at least what's preserved of them - aren't remarkably different than those of a crocodile, they're just longer than expected relative to the length of the tail & other theropod dinosaurs of similar size.
A Nildoror, one of the sapient alien species from Robert Silverberg's excellent sci-fi book Downward to the Earth. Described as large green elephant-like creatures with three tusks, a fingered trunk, and a row of spines running down their backs. #speculativebiology #alien
