At one point Ralph Bakshi tried to make an animated Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas film entirely in the style of the Ralph Steadman illustrations- Hunter S Thompson supported it, but his girlfriend (who co-owned the film rights) didn’t. Probably could’ve been good
