To help make something‘feminine’ here are a few tips~
Round out the corners, no sharp edges (however pointing the fingers may help give a stylized, dainty look). Think triangles and circles.
Thin lines and softer strokes help give a daintier appearance.

in a nutshell, 80s animu is almost semi realistic with exaggerated features, like porcelain or ball jointed dolls, for example

while modern day anime art style looked really soft despite very stylized, it looks really flat despite being airbrushed

The whole "humans and mobians live together" would be less awkard if humans in the sonic universe looked stylized, like the one in Balan, instead of semi realistic.

Same for the "romance" with Elise. It would look way better if she was chibi and not 60cm taller
