I know kodomo anime love their mascots with their baby speech and verbal tics, but having 6 episodes without one was really refreshing. Laura is a great mascot. For animal-like mascots, ironically I think Sakutaro is one of the best ones in both behaviour and design.

Tourettes isn't just cursing. It's motor and vocal tics amongst many other things.
