Cue Dot Records has the awesome idea of using this single template of a 5x5 grid of thick circles with a new color variation for every release. Today's "The Machine That Made Eternity" by Human Concept is the latest in their series and looks striking.

I feel like metal bands are always competing for grossest, most overstuffed cover art, and worst band name. Deviloof is definitely competitive on both fronts with the recently released cover for "DYSTOPIA".

This is my thing.

You'd think someone else would review💥just💥the💥album💥covers💥of💥newly💥released💥albums every Friday, but I don't think anyone else does!

If you want to go on this crazy tour every Friday, it's right here, at

I really should come up with a better name for

"🏆The Album Cover that looks most likely to contain a passage of beguiling flute™, sponsored by (but not really) Award🏆"

which has been taken by "Unsubtle Magic" by Ziemba, released today.

Lofi Records is always pumping out cool music that people can use for free, and also frequently have cool album covers like this dude chilling on Saturn contemplating life. Sylvain Sarrailh did this cover for the newly released "polaris" by stream_error.

Some incredible typography on the cover for Beauty Pill's "Instant Light". The hairline strokes are so thin they disappear into nothingness. Can you make out the hidden shadow message? Spectacularly intriguing.

The "grizzly" on the cover of The Dodos' "Grizzly Peak" looks more like a thicc-ass Sasquatch to me, standing atop a cleanly-cracked mountain. Great, crisp illustration and use of color to create an epic sunset feel.

It's live!

It's hotly anticipated by possibly three people!

It's Friday's incredible feature:

💥BRAND💥NEW💥ALBUMS that I do not review!

NO, I ONLY REVIEW THE ALBUM COVERS!

It's and it's here now!

A splash of watercolor comic book energy adorns the cover of Jamie Paige's "Bittersweet", released today. Really sweet, exciting cover art by .

Jam band dudes mill about as if they are at a mellow concert, but instead are in the thrall of a giant evil rabbit with a dimensional gate in its coat? Damn that illustration is TIGHT, for "Swagger And Stroll Down The Rabbit Hole" by Diablo Swing Orchestra.

Kælan Mikla marries landscape and character design in a crisp illustration for their new album, "Undir Köldum Norðurljósum" (under the cold northern lights). I didn't know Icelandic poetpunk was a genre!

Today's first, "most likely to contain beguiling flute" honorable mention. I love Rhye, so I can confirm upon first listen: it does actually contain beguiling flute despite the extremely tasteful font treatment.

Like every Friday, I cover the best and worst album COVERS released today!

Not the music, just the covers.

Let's start with heavy metal font mishmash Ruins of Elysium's "Amphitrite: Ancient Sanctuary in the Sea" and wonder HOW IS THAT TOP STAYING ON!?
