I think the original pant design was meant end right at the knees - to help create more dynamic poses. After all the freest man in the world shouldn't be limited by the pants haha. So yeah, pretty sure its a VFX decision, same with the shoes there to avoid big creepy toes...

yup! its rly little stuff like that lol. a collection of things like that. I like when fluff hides detail so I like to obscure details like separations between toes. And where a lot of styles tend to lengthen the ankle to paw ratio, i keep it short, or even push it shorter
