The Trilobites.

They’re the OG cockroaches on earth. They were everywhere and they survived 4 huge extinction events and they saw our ancestors took to land. They died alongside our reptile ancestors.

Should we choose something flashy like Kaiwhekea or shark-toothed dolphins? What about the biggest like moa nunui South Island giant moa or smallest like a trilobite. Maybe something historically or scientifically impt, or something budding palaeos can find like a fossil mollusc?

True. I've always thought that trilobites were the last perfect form. Humans, as representatives of life on Earth, are taking us downhill pretty fast.

How many of us actually understand the meaning of the word "emergency" in the phrase, ?

Great coverage of and 's new paper on the licentious habits of trilobites. Choice passages: "shroud of mystery," "flexible fingerlike," "shriveled limbs," "spiny backside." Will the scandal never end?

Some detail shots. The image includes the radiodont Peytoia, trilobites Elrathia and Asaphiscus, mollusc(?) Wiwaxia and many other creatures that won't fit the single tweet characters lol. Be sure to check the link below to see all species and the story behind the scene.

Dare I? I do.

Don't forget ... if you have a question about a specific photo, it's better if you include that photo.
