I honestly prefer Stanley's artstyle tbh it adds a certain charm to Silver that I really like as well as offers more perspective on his personality, plus you showed all the panels where he's just being a dork, he looks a little closer to Uekawa's Silver during action shots

i know many people don’t, but me personally? i love it. i find it very nice!

i hope one day we get a game again with uekawa art as the boxart. i’d be curious to see how this style would look like for boxart for the games.

More likely is because current art is so "on-shape" and less "dynamic", older art shows how much experiments were done with the artstyle until it evolved to what currently is used, just like how Yuji Uekawa's style evolved when drawing sonic, that's the only example I can give
