If these sprites don't look this way because of AI upscaling to a higher resolution, as the sharp vertical cut-offs suggest, then it's somehow worse because that means a pixel artist intentionally produced something this ugly, fuzzy outline and all.

GM and Happy Halloween!

This is a 2048x2048/500 steps output from deforum without upscaling. It’s usually pretty hard to to avoid tiling at these resolutions. But it was fun to experiment and push the tools a little to try to get a large scale trick or treating scene.
