Its They are the worlds only scaly mammal & infamous for being the most illegally trafficked animal in the world. In a recent seizure 8tons of scales were found representing 14000 animals even though there is a intl. ban, the trade is still flourishing.

Day 6: Pangolin tongues are very long and attached to the thorax, not the hyroid bone as in many mammals including humans. They can extend their tongues, which are covered in sticky saliva, up to 40cm! Very handy for capturing insects.

I did some pangolin art. They’re phenomenal creatures that hopefully exist for a very long time. The red one is if the pangolin had an adaptation to camouflage itself with its surroundings so it adapted to look like a dragon fruit.
