The series at large originated from the genesis of one character, Phillip the Safety Egg. Given this own short in 2010, the character was the idea of D&E co-creator Mike Owens. Not sure where the film is now, but a 30sec trailer is up on Youtube.

Started commissions in 2010, $7 per full body colored character, to buy a $3000 Cintiq.
Took 4 years. Raised that sum 4-5 times. Whenever I got close, tho, I used the money to pay the debt for my single mother who struggled raising me.

What's fun is seeing how art changes over the years. I created Xavier in 2010, which is the last picture, then drew him again in 2018 (2nd picture), now today in 2021, the 1st picture. One of my protectors of time that I created, I might draw the other 2 more.

@mx_mcgee Besides Ravus, Mihara also designed Iedolas which would've been done by 2010, and Ferrari made a reply on his FB saying he wishes he could show the stuff Mihara did.
Personally I also think some of the characters who got cut (like Safirus/Sapphirus in 2nd pic) were by Mihara too.
