Its March 31st 1792 & Lady Archer is at the Faro Table in #London wiping out Mrs Hobart, who scowls back at her as Charles James Fox looks aghast - The Prince of Wales, with a front row seat, is rumoured to be taking a cut of Archer's winnings
Austria (1792-5) saw Le Brun move to a more neoclassical style, reflecting the rise of that school & the revolution in France. Marguerite Porporati (1792), Hyacinthe Gabrielle Roland (1791) & Countess Kaganeck (1792). Her painting of Porporati is a masterpiece

Bando Sanpachi I as Tokko no Daroku by Katsukawa Shunsho (1726-1792)
Lots of crazy rumours doing the rounds. Ignore them. Vote for who you want & in order of your preference. Go as far down the list as you can as your vote can matter even up to 12 or 14 etc. This is Irish artist, James Arthur O’Connor’s (1792-1841) Moonlight.
Illness struck the artist (1792-3) & left him deaf. It’s likely that the sense of isolation led to his dark & startling Caprichos (published in 1799). These were macabre images from his subconscious which continue to inhabit the viewer’s mind, once seen.

The house is no more, but the ceiling of his drawing room, painted by Antonio Zucchi, is in the V&A
