ドラゴンの頭に鷲のような足、大きなコウモリのような翼を持つ架空の生き物。飛竜。
色は緑か赤色が多く、矢じりのような鋭い尻尾を持つ。 昔はドラゴンやワームと混同されていた。
紋章やモチーフとして人気が高く派生パターンもいくつかある。

白装束をまとった雪の妖怪。またはそうした女性の姿で出現する怪異。
美しいが恐ろしくもあり、雪山に迷い込んだ男性を凍死させたり生気を吸ったりするという。年齢は様々で子連れの時もある。
雪に関連するためか寒い地域での伝承が多い。

064/コカトリス（バジリコック）
頭部、体、足は雄鶏。ドラゴンのような翼と尾をもつ。雄鶏が7歳の時に産んだ卵をヒキガエルが9年あたためることでこのバジリコックが生まれるらしい。
バジリスクの派生モンスターと言われ、猛毒や石化能力など共通部分が多い。
