sorry for the re-upload. but i added scan lines and it looks super sick. if i were a little more insane i would develop cosmic KO with this aesthetic. but im not crazy enough to make a fighting game with 2d graphics. theoretically if CK were to become a thing itd be 3d.

So it was pointed out to me that during mirror matches in Sonic the Fighters do not have greyscale cards in the pre-matchup graphics. Someone saw this in the Gamecube ver via hacking (left) and I reimplemented it in the right. While this isn't new news, I've never pointed it out.
@CommodoreBlog Back in the day, we thought Bob Stevenson was as good as it would ever get for C64 graphics.. I don't know what it is about these modern drawing methods, but *damn* there's some real pretty stuff coming out these days. 😮
Not counting this for the YES/NO pile but there's a 3 game "arcade smash hits" set that has remakes of Centipede, Breakout, and Missile Command. It seems to play really well!
Breakout looks like Arkanoid, but it's just Breakout.
All three games have upgraded graphics. It's nice

World of Warcraft deserves so much better than it gets in terms of graphics. The art team does stunning work with new zones but the contrast between new and old is increasingly jarring.
