Legit NES graphics.

I just expanded this "project borscht" scene. The original half of it consumed all 256 background tiles so I was slightly worried it wouldn't scale well, but it seems to work. The left half is all recycled from the same 8x8 tiles.

Virtual XP is actually amazingly easy to work, so long as you don't need hardware 3D graphics. VirtualBox is free, and it's used in server environments, so it's rock-solid. So then you just need a WinXP ISO (or disc) and a valid activation key. 👍 These pics are from VirtualBox:

At home I'm running old equipment (an ex-lease laptop, and two old desktop PC's from work.) So they're an i5 with two physical cores, and two i7's with four physical cores. Basic Intel graphics. Those PC's, and their predecessors all ran WinUAE well. So WinUAE's always with me 😁

Going through an old HD folder and found these I made back in the early 2000's, I planned to do a load of teams with battle scarred helmets and an authentic look based on the old graphics. I couldn't do vectors either so had to scan in helmets and rework them lol!
