Autumn is here and that trip to the park isn't going to be the same for quite a while! 🍂

Don't mind me, just entering Day 3 of spot-the-difference with Millais's painting 'Isabella' (1848-49) from @walkergallery with the @britishmuseum early sketched design, the @FitzMuseum_UK preparatory study and the Makins collection preparatory painting
#goodmorning! Born #OTD 1804, the ornithologist John Gould, who inspired Millais's painting "The Ruling Passion": having a "ruling passion" is a great help in life! https://t.co/QduyrowfZG
Hunt also portrayed his contemporaries such as his PRB friends Rossetti (1853) & Millais (1853). Also shown is Edward Lear (1857). The latter is almost hallucinatory in its scrutiny.

Painting at Bedtime.
The Somnambulist.
John Everett Millais.
Millais got the idea for a number of his paintings from opera, and this scene may have been inspired by Bellini's La Somnambula in which the heroine walks across a rickety bridge while sleep walking.
Beatrix Potter was born #OTD in 1866. The Potter family were friends with Millais & Beatrix's incredible myopic studies of fungi surely echo the early Pre-Raphaelite fidelity to nature. Flora & Fauna abound in Beatrix's work, magical microcosms with a wonderful cast of characters

“El rescate” es una pintura prerrafaelita de John Everett Millais realizada entre 1860-1862. Una escena casi teatral en la que destaca la calidad técnica del artista.
