This propaganda technique is known as Whataboutism - it's non-constructive, reductive & meant to lead to inaction or hate. Best example of contemporary Whataboutism is in Climate Change "Yeah, US has a big carbon footprint, but whatabout China?"

When he returned, Plasma had become cold and distant, and the only reason he bothers with Turf War, a team sport, is as a constructive outlet to vent his frustration. The weapons in his artwork are too powerful for Turf Wars; he uses them for his secret job as a bounty hunter.
