and now Isa from BBS is designed!! I'm so happy with how... soft he looks? Really contrasts with his adult self!

The rich socialite lifestyle, is Selina's reward. The key was using her childhood as a way to explain why she became Her upbringing compares/contrasts to Bruce's, which defines their relationship. As she becomes more heroic, you see how her selflessness matches his.

After messing with my logo so many times these are the final versions, when I have a black background I’ll use the right side so it contrasts better

In Storm Bringer Dazai is described as being so dark with black clothes and bandages,an unapproachable scary shadow and it contrasts so much with the way he is so soft and caring with Chuuya, its just natural for Dazai to hold him close,Chuuya is truly showed as his light

I hereby sacrifice my favorite duo, Kua (red) and Mika (blue)!
I'm submitting for Mika but if you wanna do Kua with them that's cool too, since they're designed together I wanna offer context of the contrasts.

First up is Gar. We went with ash blond and when Chocobikies was looking for references/inspiration she fell in love with the colour scheme on a doll like this one. He's all contrasts - strong guy with a resting expression that makes you think twice but he's so so soft.

I HAD to draw Sunny! I cant wait to see what they do with her, a character that contrasts Twilight in her first appearance.

Other than my inability to have good contrasts, you mean? 🤔 Probably the way I inhale the paint Perylene Violet-- even in pieces where you don't see purples, I can assure you it's there in the mix somewhere... It's a weird one, but it just feels wrong to paint without it...

To illustrate the 'no rules, just tools' mantra, sometimes you use the concepts but dial in how much value separation for desired effect. U can pull back on contrasts (in the case of this torchlit witch burning) or dial the contrast to 11 (in this dramatically lit closeup dialog)
