In the middle of refactoring some very old and particularly ugly code that is starting to cause problems and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the old debug real-time plane switching code still works. It's a bit buggy, but seems to be in pretty minor ways.

I know for a fact that Ecco: Defender of the Future was the first Ecco game I beat without using debug mode cheats because I remember me doing it... HOW THE HECK DID I MANAGE THAT?!

The debug sprite palette picker might explain this if they were choosing palettes on the hardware itself, as a few other bizarrely colored sprites also look much more natural when viewed there. Sneasel even appears to have two shades of brown, which lines up with its SW97 design.

i am so mad rn because my Pc won´t Boot properly
and the debug Cpu light from the motherboard light up
so i have to reboot many times and pray it boots.
idk if the problem it´s from the motherboard or the power source
it´s my first Pc build and i am just sad :c
