Kieran's protectee has to be Dylan, i don't see it being a random character we haven't been introduced to yet and i believe this panel was already a big hint back then... Dylan told Kieran about flowers and their meaning, and he's the reason why Kieran became the Purple Hyacinth
New doggo boye! Honestly unsure yet if I’m gonna name him or leave him in purgatory but it was honestly good sketch style/consistency practice~

What is that painting of? We’ve seen it teased so many times. Is it of the protectee, the one who (presumably) died because of some failed test? Is that why Kieran gets so angry and almost destroys it when he thinks about Lauren, because he’s scared the same will happen to her?
Kieran recalls the moment Lauren asked him about the kidnapped kids which could be an important detail. He remembers her determination to get information about it... does he suspect she is connected to one of them? Does he feel bad for not telling her the whole truth?
Kieran thanks Lauren for the stitches, seemingly dismissing her. He’s not ready to talk about his past in detail. Seeing Kieran in this state hurts Lauren. She's scared and worried for him. Her expression shows that she's emotional and how deeply she cares for his well-being.
Lauren hesitantly touches Kieran’s scar on his shoulder and he puts his hand over hers to keep her hand there when she pulls away. Lauren looks surprised at the gesture. She brings Kieran comfort, he needs it so he can actually go through the most painful memories again.
“something”, kieran doesn’t dare to say what he feels for lauren, he knows what it is, but he doesn’t put a name on it, he doesn’t need to, deep down he will always know and he won’t embrace those feelings, he doesn’t think he deserves to feel this way about her.
kieran being the one to grab lauren’s hand and put it back on his scar when she was taking it off was such an important moment, a scar that he gave to himself, a scar that reminds him about his first times in the ps. he wanted lauren to keep touching it, to keep giving him warmth
