Second, I'm amazed at how well each character sells their archetype through their design. It's obvious that Ladiva is a grappler & Metera is a projectile zoner. Even chars that use the same weapon make this clear (these 4 all use swords but it's clear they operate differently)

The Tenta Missiles special is likely based on soda. The launchers appear to be modified soda crates and the projectiles they shoot look very similar to soda bottles. The logo on the launchers can also be seen on vending machines in Inkopolis Plaza.
