Buy a cheap notebook, get to a quiet place, look up a list of the first generation pokemon and one for one start doodling them. Don't take a lot of time with each one. Two minutes each. Incorporate you own style. Do little redesigns.
This got my creative juices flowing again!

Miss B went through a lot of redesigns. Unlike B.B, who kept his chibi proportions, Miss B looked more human.
Thankfully, I decided to make her less attractive and more cute and accurate to B.B's proportions.
