I find worldbuilding in books often tedious (even in games with lore I really like). As I've grown older, my patience with reading lore homework has dwindled.

But the worldbuilding in picturebooks is FUN and AMAZING.

Did anyone ever listen to Nerd Poker? I listened to a bunch of early episodes. Some were fun, but the whole thing became so dreadfully tedious to me. I didn't like the DM style, for one. I bailed when they fought a creature with over 1,000 hp (4e stuff, I guess?).

Here's an example of simplifying the HWBM faction insignias for the embroidered patches. This was very tedious and extremely satisfying.
