My first ever fanart of #Narmaya from Granblue Fantasy.
I've learned to utilize some soft shading but with a roundabout way using blur and smudge tools. I'll see if I can learn to use a custom brush in my future works.

Spent about 4 hours just trying to make a digital draft, tracing my pencil sketch. This is a really complex character design, I think it was a bad idea to try to draw with my current skill level

This was a challenging painting, but it's refreshing to draw something exciting for this character and explore new techniques and tools.

Guess I could post this here since I uninstalled Instagram! Pretty fun piece to work on, using a lot of reference and help from fellow artists, both great tools.
After asking myself "What if my OC was a proper character with a proper story?" and renaming her "Spina" (splitting the name Puka off to a Tuffle OC), I filled all the voids of the pandemic with weaving Spina's tale and using it to experiment with new tools.
@gustav_messner I prefer avians with wing hands. Admittedly avians with back wings that still have arms would definitely be at more of an advantage using tools. I believe however that they would have had to have evolved from a different base organism having six appendages rather than four.
