A4: It depends on what you are trying to achieve. I definitely do because it fits with the world/story I am creating. In action comics, it is more necessary as opposed to gag comics. Until Observed is surrealist sci-fi, so learning angles are critical to me.

In the last couple chapters of Sombulus and especially with Cioara, setting up common facial expressions and then throwing them completely off model intentionally is a big part of the plot.

Sometimes I'll let errors in other areas slide, but expressions are important to me, so they often bear the brunt of the most redrawing. It's important to me that the characters' feelings and motivations be clear to the reader.
