eventually i transplanted them into a universe where they're an alien race that's inspired by dinosaurs. so feathers and scales, and i always liked grey, so i gave the alien version of them grey skin; this lead to a name change too. some aspects translated into their xiv design.

I don't have their original reference, but I originally just slapped some colors I liked on an Undisclosed Creature of a species! Then I lightened up the colors because I was scared of a redesign. But finally, I just re-made the whole design to finally make them reflect me!
