I was actually talking to a few friends about this a few days ago. I’d want them to have an artstyle more akin to the original. Queen’s Blade/Gate had a good modernized redesign, but that game also has you literally shredding your opponents clothing off. Yikes.

It's criminal that Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder never got a home port. It's truly stunning. The magic spells are also savage and use tons of sprite-scaling and other tricks.
