The first art is the last painting art of mine and there I surely felt like I improved a lot with painting characters :D The one with tiger is the one when I finally let myself loose and experiment with the background and draw all these leaves x)

I think BnW is a good approach to practice lighting! I'd like to share with you that is what i do with most of my artworks! I would first use greyscale so that I can practice lights and shadows first before I put any colors so I think ur taking a good approach to improvement!

Did see a tumblr post that gave reasons to why adaman and irida might be good contenders:

Adamans eyes (a stretch imo but sometimes they look hazel) , Irida’s hair.

How adaman had an impatient attitude towards his time being wasted / iridas drive to prove her self worth.
