Student-teacher relationships are allowed, so M/F Byleth x any of their students before the timeskip can be drawn but there will be exceptions like Cyril due to his age and childish appearance.

'Narratively better' is pretty valueless in a series focused on fighting when the climactic fight ends up being boring. Narrative should improve the fight, not hinder it.

And they make it easy to show when Hit is moving in timeskip. Lots of other manga also manage this (ie JoJo)
