@koa_alvy How is this? It still communicates the hair strand's original shape, but it no longer has strange placement that makes it look like any part of it is soley the outline of the eye, right?
@mrmosseaterr In case you haven’t already noticed, I used to draw Sluggle Dee with the mantle skirt shape going in a plain circle, but changed it later to go around the stomach since I think it looks more natural that way

@gibbit_ I’d do it this way: Take the main shapes of the idea, divide them in sections, add extra lines to add the illusion of more detail that are easy to remember and that won’t have to look at a reference to get right and boom!
Still detailed looking but not nearly as painful :)
