visual timeline cause i think it's neat
rather than just compare design changes, i wanted to recreate how my style used to look too, including every shading method i went through! i "refined" them to how i would draw those styles now, which is why nothing is shaded with black :')

so what I want with an updated maeja design is better defined hair shapes, the hair before was cute but it had a non-existent hairline. I wanted to make the hair more volumetric instead of flat, so imagine her hair spikes as giant cones instead of slices of cardboard

I'm doing some color practices between commission work. Reworked my color picking, refined my usual soft shading to fit a bit more the SMB3 style and also tried a wacky looking cel shading!
