Thinking about evolutionary adaptation and how it connects with the creative process. How one work can evolve and transform into a new iteration.

I think at the core of Yasre/Halasti society is this deep and reverent relationship with their patron deity, Haigar. Any time I see an adaptation of them without it, I wonder what that person sees in the Yasre instead, because it seems so hollow without it to me.

You know, it's funny. The chronological order of every adaptation of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" is actually the definitive best to worst ranking order.

Did you know? the 2012 film Brave is actually a soft adaptation of the classic Claremont-Sienkiewicz New Mutants arc "The Demon Bear Saga"?

just one way 2010s Disney got around the licencing issues with Fox.

I'm on episode 8 of live-action

I've 100% divorced the original Bebop anime from it's live-action adaptation. The anime will always be superior, to me, but the live-action is fascinating in its own way. Also, Faye is bisexual; I don't remember that in the anime.

Incoming Twitter rant on Resident Evil I liked it. A rough start to a better trend of RE adaptation. Could it have been better and more faithful yes, but I feel like it did what it had to…be better than Anderson films…and it did.

I saw a lot of people getting on Twin Star Exorcists manga on this app and literally every one of them liked it.
The only negative receptions I see now are people who watched the garbage anime adaptation
So READ Twin Star Exorcists❗️
