also, good brushes makes a big difference in your art!!! here's some of the ones i use ^^ you can also use the stabilizer tool so the lines dont look as shaky. experiment with brushes that works for you the best. the hair brush is really good for highlights in the hair and stuff

One thing I like to do when coloring markings on a character is first going with a very solid & defined shape and then going over it with the Finger/Smudge tool to do the "fluff" lol

saves a lot of time compared to drawing each fluff when doing the markings :P

The next step is to fill in "canonical" colors, such as the woman's clothes and skin. I never just use the eyedrop tool (left) though, I always manipulate them in the direction of the lightsource color - meaning oranges and reds become more orange and red here
