The Oldest drawing of him was when I thought I was a cis girl (and was traced cause I was a dumb kid), so, he's trans like me in more than one way. He basically transitioned with me.
@OhHeyDJ 1000% early One Piece. In 2006 I got my first Shonen Jump at 11 y/o, then immediately drew Luffy (or traced, not sure). Then drew this Rock Lee around the same year, obvious similarities. Fast forward 15 years and I’m still drawing Luffy and that signature (+ + +) smile lol
