The art is dedicated to women with vitiligo. It's a skin peculiarity. Many people are embarrassed about it, but it's interesting and beautiful.
I believe a turning point was when we didn't go more ham on ATLA cosplayers for darkening their skin to depict fictional bipoc.
I swear, Frostblade Irelia looks so cool it makes me want to learn the champ just to play the skin!
