Playing with gradient map~! Drawings on toned paper really work well in different colors, especially with a lot of white lines.

Second try on the lines by @BarbaraRosiak - I actually went and bought some microns so I have waterproof lines.Ssadly the scan didn't pick up the gold flecks in the background. Maybe I'll get a decent photo tomorrow.

I have a few styles I switch between but I think my "thing" is definitely brushy/textured lines. My faves are when I get to combine my stylized cartooning roots with my Chinese ink inspired watercolour style. #4styles

I love drawing cute cartoony stuff as much as detailed anatomical crap... heavy brush inking and thin sickly lines.... it's simple black/white/red ink colors with my traditional work, or NEON PEPTO PINK with my digital stuff.

I was just trying out Affinity Photo to do the lines. damn crisp but also difficult. I ended up not using Genji's ref 100% trying to figure out things so I wrote that thing up there and it just fit him too well #genjishimada #sukuartquarter
These drawings were a test run of doing heads and shoulders without any construction lines. These are straight inks, no sketch or construction.
I think I save time by just constructing loosely and THEN directly inking.
