Tried combining halftones + more painterly brushstrokes! May have gone a tiny bit overboard but it's nice to go ham with colours once in a while

Just messing around and watched a Bob Ross episode, painting along (for the most part, kinda stopped at 22 min). Experimenting with digital painterly brushes and practicing new techniques and this is what I have to show for it. Lots of room for improvement

Undead portrait for . Tried a painterly style too. It's not done yet, need to blur the background a little bit so its not just flat orange ish.

Still practicing this "painterly" thing. It's super hard for me, but I think it's a step in the right direction.

For anyone else doing something out of their comfort zone, keep at it. We all suck when we try something new. You can do it!

Used a separate style for digital and analog, because the software and hardware wasn’t up for anything painterly.
Fast forward to now and you got handheld devices where you gotta remind people the art is digital.

I've been starting to lean towards a painterly style after seeing a bunch of painters and their fantastic artworks. There's something clean about digital painting that I want to explore and experiment with. Here's a WIP of a (painted) dragon OC to prepare for my next headshot.
