おそらくバグとかでもなく仕様ですねぇ
マテリアル自体は3種しかないので「このマテリアルはこのテクスチャを読み込む」とゆうことが個別に出来ないからだと思われます
言葉が足りませんでしたが
メッシュに沿わなくてはならないアイラインとは違って
UV内にあればどんなのでもいいということです

i thought the glossy detail they made with the characters was just a texture, but instead, they used a 3D model for the gloss. they probably did it this way for numerous reasons. like to ignore the UV mapping, avoid texture pixelation, and because it's much more simple to do
