Guess I can share some old stuff I don't think I've posted here while I try and get back into it. They're very different from what I've been doing, still kind of proud of em. Idk what was with me and painting antlers back then...

Today we look at Finlay from the series. He is funny and adventurous, sporty and kind. He has lots of energy, enjoys sparring with other people and is always there for his friends.

Colors: green, red, purple

This is Claymore! Man-made horrors in a laboratory and quite a successful experiment. However, despite looking intimidating, he wouldn't hurt a fly (which kind of ruins the point of a bioweapon)

My MC kind of has to be white since his character is someone who was raised by far right nuts and broke away from that. A lot of his comedy is him being ignorant (not bigoted) about a lot of things. Unless you were to go full Unkle Ruckus, he’d have to be white because of it.

It feels like some kind of witchcraft when not even 2 minutes on a long bus ride, I get a giddiness spell coupled with a simulated feeling of a fever (without a temperature, mind you). I can't wait for it to end, mom and I are prolly gonna get me some pills after this. 🥲

OH YEAH THE POP ART GOES REALLY WELL WITH THE CHARACTER DESIGNS i think its bc the art style feels so "sharp" in a way where it looks kind of unnatural to me on top of the faces so the more they lean into the pop art the less jarring it looks to me.
Like this one, i like.

at the very least recently (in terms of faces) a big shift happened in the art team (new art manager or director or whatever she seems cool so far) and the usual kind of janky bandori faces (bc i agree that thats always been the weakest aspect of the art style) has been better
