I think people use heavy scarring as a design crutch bc they don't want to draw a twisted leg. bit of a cop-out imo, it's honestly as easy as drawing at a 90 degree angle (example from my aniproject)

As a manga fan, Hunter X Hunter and One Piece have such bad adaptions I CANT TAKE IT.... I cant just watch boneless versions of my favorite drawings ever to bad timings

Also as a sequential art, manga feels culturally transcendental to me, but all anime "feels really anime" imo.

N64 Thwomp is alright, but it's not really my thing. I kinda like the current thwomp better, the designs from super mario galaxy and not the ones from nsmbwii (the spikes are to pointy imo) especially i like it's 2d artwork designs based on the classics.

Imo profiles are kinda hard to do, especially when doing this "snout" thing, but I think it comes down to head height; how long the nose reaches downward, how high/thick the upper lips, and subsequently the mouth, is?
Like these ones I might have made the nose a lil too big?

As an archetype imo it is similar to the ninja archetype. Also is an 'Athenian' necessarily aligned to good? That's an interesting question too. You could also assign it to Chinese philosophy. Perhaps Magolor is Athenian in context of yin (+his 'strategic' aesthetic).
