Just read the most incredible book - Turner Family Stories published by @vermontfolklife. It has multiple comics adaptations of an oral history collected from 100-year-old Daisy Turner in 1983. She was the child of ex-slaves, and it contains so much about post-Civil War life,
Glass Mask by Suzue Miuchi (drama)
a long running classic with many multi medium adaptations. it's about acting but follows the sports shoujo formula, everything is intense, there's sm passion and determination, the training is so tough and every performance feels like a battle!
furuba won all these awards in favor for these shoujo to get full anime adaptations 💅
Anime adaptations I enjoy but feel are better experienced as Manga because the Manga is just so damn good the Anime could never even come close such as Bastard & Dragon Half.
💀 Gou Tanabe Lovecraft adaptations 💀
Gou Tanabe's Lovecraft adaptations are some of the best ever written and it is a CRIME that only a handful have been released in English. I'd most like to see:

@RidhaFA4 @djaafar5001 @Sakuga_EN @animetv_jp Just to add that they made Idolish7 (music/drama) and Yagakimi (girls love) as well, and both are awesome adaptations so I'd say it's a really good studio
Saito's commentary in magazines and interviews often includes surprise at how 'adult' Shinya Hasegawa's adaptations of her designs are for the series. There is, let's say... A contrast, even in super early series art.
Whats with all the good videogame adaptations lately!?

I realized that some of my favorite movies of all time are adaptations (or inspired by) Beauty and the Beast. There is something appealing about it and it always evokes strong emotions out of me.
So I assimilate some old urban legend stories and some other familiar stories that have so much impact for me as a kid/teenage back in the days and developed my own adaptations, new characters with extraordinary powers.
Wangi & Uruh from the land of the anomalies, Rawa Kingdom.
